An international response helps free Christians in China. China (MNN) — Chinese church leaders have been released by authorities after international pressure. Todd Nettleton is with Voice of the Martyrs. “All six of these have been release now after international pressure including calls to the Chinese embassy, including faxes to the hotel where they were being held. Conferences are being held abroad to help pastors with little or no formal training. World (MNN) — Only five-to-ten percent of pastoral leaders in developing nations have any formal training for the ministry. Global Advance is trying to increase that number by holding conferences to train and equip nationals to fulfill the Great Commission. Even though the conferences can be extremely expensive, spokesman David Shibley says it’s worth it. “We believe it’s still a very cost effective investment because of this multiplication effect where once you put that vision in a pastoral leader, that is multiplied not only to his congregation but beyond him to those who he will train.” Full Story: http://mnn.gospelcom.net/article/5094 [2]

A camp ministry in Spain is rebuilding after storm damage. Spain (MNN) — A Christian camping ministry in Spain is raising money to help repair recent storm damage. Greater Europe Mission?s Ted Noble says softball sized hail pummeled the tent-based camp forcing it to close. The tragedy has given works a chance to share their faith with journalists and local government leaders concerned about the damage. The damage is estimated at 100-thousand dollars.
