Come, let me worship, fall down, and kneel before the Lord God who made me.
Begin this quiet time of Meditation by stretching your entire body. Place your hands over your head, hold the wrist over one shoulder & pull upward for about 10 seconds, then pull the other wrist. Next take a moment to completely relax your body. Begin with some deep breathing exercises. Breath in & holding your breath for a SLOW count of five, exhale at a slow count of five. Do this about five times. It is a quick method to relieve stress. Then quiet & relax your entire body by saying to yourself, “relax”…toes, feet, ankles, calves, knees, etc. up to & including your head area, the neck, chin, cheeks, ears, nose, eyes, forehead. This will relieve stress to the physical body. Takes about 5 minutes to do this. As you begin to relax, let go of all the cares of the day, all the stresses including emotional & mental, even to mentally placing them in a bag & throwing them away! Be aware of the pleasures around, above, in front, behind you, & don’t forget to look down~~look with your eyes, ears, touch, taste, smell, feel~It is easy & gives a special pleasure of life, if you continue to be aware of everything around you. Does a breeze caress your face? Can you hear the birds sing? The movement of squirrels? Feel emotions such as joy, confidence, relief & peace. Let loose of anger, pain, blame~as you dwell
on the presence of the Lord and become aware of the Spirit of the Lord as
you think of what you need to lead a life of Discipleship with Jesus Christ. When time is up, do not hurry back into the world, take your time & allow the quietness, the peace, the regeneration that you feel in this unique place to continue to be with you as you walk back into the world. The more you meditate the more you will experience the presence of the Lord & the Holy Spirit in your life. In meditation it is not unusual to experience gentle calmness, quietness,
physical lightness, small surges of energy, rapture/ecstasy, clarity of thought or vision, or emotional or mental freedom. Perhaps none of the above, but keep trying because you can never reach the point where you can say, I have been there & there is nothing new to learn, there is NEVER an end to
the depth of the love and wisdom of God. There is also a clarity of consciousness which often occurs. At the end of this quiet time, please do not hurry back into the world, but slowly, as you walk, feel refreshed & then begin to slowly take the path out of the quiet beauty of this nature place into the world & you will find that you are now refreshed and ready to face life anew once again!
Reflection 1 Psalm 118:24 This is the day the Lord has made; let me rejoice and be glad in it! What does this day mean to me? Psalm 8:1 O Lord, my Lord! How majestic is Your name in all the earth! Slowly gaze around, the Lord God created all that I can see, hear, taste,
smell & feel! I observe all that is around me as I walk slowly to Reflection 2
Reflection 2 Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God! In silence, I listen to the quietness of the area with all my senses as I ask the Lord to lead me beside the still waters. And, Lord hear me & be with me as I pray…My Lord’s Prayer My Father, I know You are in heaven as well as here on earth, I know that your name is Holy, Your reign is here, Your purpose be accomplished, In all of creation and in my life, Be with me every minute of this day. Feed me through all my senses, and though I sin, love me unconditionally,
As I know that I should unconditionally love those who sin against me, And be with me and guide me away from sin, but please save me from sin, For yours is the eternity and the light and the majesty, eternally. I know! For as long as I live. Think on these words as you journey to Reflection 3.
Reflection 3 Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
Forgive me Lord…
I would ask, O God that you would remove my pride & open those things in my life which I have hidden & have not been healed, please be with me & heal them at long last. Lead me, Lord Jesus, to be still & listen for Your words. To feel Your love surrounding me. Enclosing me. Cleansing me, until I am clean & new! Let my heart, my mind, my voice be in silence.
Give me the strength to be silent, that I may be able to listen for Your quiet whisper of love. Let me drink from Your well of Living Water.
Let me dwell on these words as I journey on to Reflection 4
Reflection 4 John 14:27 Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you, I do not to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, & do not be afraid.” God, I humbly ask that You let me be in Your presence & to hear Your voice, as You have heard mine, that I may grow in Your love & I ask that any words that I say be only to Your honor, glory, and praise. Let me know Your peace, this hour, this moment. Be with me as I journey to Reflection 5
Reflection 5 Psalm 24:1 The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it, the world, and all who live therein. Let me stop, be silent, as I seek Your words, Your will for me. Let me be still that You may send the Holy Spirit anew to refresh me & give my life renewal & new purpose! May that purpose only be your purpose! Let me dwell in the hushed stillness & the blessing I receive of being in Your Holy creation in this place. Grace me with Your Words as I journey to Reflection 6.
Reflection 6 Revelation 3:20 Jesus says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you and you with me.” In the beauty of this nature, let me hear the silence of eternity. Let me see & hear Your welcome, given with Your arms outstretched & Your hands flowing with love as You welcome me home. I know that You are present & I wait for Your will to be given to me, that I may live my life in Your joy! Give me the joy of Your presence as I journey to Reflection 7
Reflection 7 Psalm 23: 5-6…You anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows. Absolutely, goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Your House forever and ever! Lord, how can I say thanks for Your Presence with me on my quest to be what you have called me to be? Thank You for Your words in the silence of my time sharing this wondrous day. I ask that You continue to be with me as I return once again into Your wondrous world. Keep Your Presence in my heart as I will keep Your creation in my sight. Be with me as I journey from this Holy place to Reflection 8.
Reflection 8 Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus said, “Go make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teaching them all I have taught you and YES, I am with YOU always, to the end of eternity.” Take time to enjoy the job of His Presence. And now, as you reenter the world of God’s children, no matter what anxieties you may have, remember that Jesus said, “with God ALL things are possible!” Peace be with you & love & faith from God the Father, & our Lord Jesus Christ ~ and grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. His peace be with YOU now and ever!
