Am currently reading a book by Eugene Peterson titled “A Long Obedience in the Same Direction – Discipleship in an Instant Society”. Came across a quote from Hilary of Tours that challenged me. I sat with the quote for a time and asked God to speak to me. It was an interesting/challenging/humbling time!

I felt compelled to look at myself, church/family relationships etc. Wow! What a time.

I encourage you to make some time to sit with the quote also. It is as follows.

Be vigilant against

– a blasphemous anxiety to do God’s work for him.
