In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth.
And God separated the light from the darkness.
Then God said, ‘Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness;
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the
air, and over the cattle, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the
earth.’
So God created humankind in his
image,
in the image of God he created
them;
male and female he created them.
God blessed them, and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the
earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the bi
rds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.’ God said
, ‘See, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is upon the face of all
the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food.
And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to
everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have give
n every green plant for food.’ And it was so. God saw everything that he had
made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was
morning, the sixth day. Genesis 1:1, 4, 26-31;

Thus says God, the LORD,
who created the heavens and
stretched them out,
who spread out the earth and
what comes from it,
who gives breath to the people upon
it
and spirit to those who walk in it:
I am the LORD, I have called you in
righteousness,
I have taken you by the hand and
kept you;
I have given you as a covenant to the
people,
a light to the nations. Isaiah 42:5-6;
But now thus says the LORD,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed
you;
I have called you by name, you
are mine. Isaiah 43:1;

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom a
nd insight he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his go
od pleasure that he set forth in Christ, as a plan for the fullness of time, to
gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. In Christ
we have also obtained an inheritance, having been destined according to the
purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to his counsel and will,
so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, might live for the
praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:7-12;

Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord.
Be careful how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of
the time. Ephesians 5:10,15-16;
~~~
Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have stripped off the old self with
its practices and have clothed yourselves with the new self, which is being
renewed in knowledge according to the image of its creator. Colossians 3:9-10;
~~~
You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and
power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and
were created. Revelation 4:11;
~~~
For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory
forever. Amen. Romans 11:36;
~~~
To whom then will you compare
me,
or who is my equal. says the Holy
One.
Lift up your eyes on high and see:
Who created these.
He who brings out their host and
numbers them,
calling them all by name;
because he is great in strength,
mighty in power,
not one is missing.
Why do you say, O Jacob,
and speak, O Israel,
‘My way is hidden from the LORD,
and my right is disregarded by my
God’.
Have you not known. Have you not
heard.
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the
earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and strengthens the powerless.
Even youths will faint and be weary,
and the young will fall exhausted;
but those who wait for the LORD
shall renew their strength,
they shall mount up with wings
like eagles,
they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:25-31;
~~~
Ever since the creation of the world his eternal power and divine nature,
invisible though they are, have been understood and seen through the things he has
made. So they are without excuse; Romans 1:20;
~~~
For thus says the LORD,
who created the heavens
(he is God!),
who formed the earth and made it
(he established it;
he did not create it a chaos,
he formed it to be inhabited!):
I am the LORD, and there is no other.
I the LORD speak the truth,
I declare what is right. Isaiah 45:18-19;
I delight in the way of your decrees
as much as in all riches.
I will meditate on your precepts,
and fix my eyes on your ways.
I will delight in your statutes;
I will not forget your word.
Open my eyes, so that I may behold
wondrous things out of your law.
Your decrees are my delight,
they are my counselors.
Make me understand the way of
your precepts,
and I will meditate on your
wondrous works.
Psalm 119:11,14-16,18,24,27;
