Ever-living God,

help us to celebrate our joy

in the resurrection of the Lord

and to express in our lives

the love we celebrate.

This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah,

‘He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.’ Matthew 8:17;

Who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3;

Father, look with love upon your people,

the love which our Lord Jesus Christ showed us

when he delivered himself to evil men

and suffered the agony of the cross.

For he is Lord for ever.

You have mourned for Christ’s sufferings;

now you celebrate the joy of his resurrection.

May you come with joy to the feast which lasts for ever. Amen.

May almighty God bless you,

the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
