A radical Muslim nation will be receiving the Gospel.

International (MNN) — Evangelism in a Muslim country headlines today’s news. American Evangelist Sammy Tippit says going to be doing just that in a unique way. Tippit explains. “We have just signed an agreement to start broadcasting in a nation that is entirely Muslim and very radical in nature. And so, we will be able to, for six months, we will be able to share the Good News of God’s love in the homes of about 60-million people.” Tippit doesn’t seem to be concerned about anti-American sentiment in the region. “When I was in this country previously and preaching, yes, there were those who hated us and wanted to do harm to us and there were those would like to do harm to us. However, I found that most people (were) very gracious and just open to hear the word of God.” Sammy Tippit ministries is raising 30-thousand dollars for this special broadcast. Algerian children converting to Christianity in record numbers

Algeria (MNN)–The number of children converting to Christianity is causing concern among many Algerians. An article recently printed in the “Algerian Milat Horizons” reports that children watching the “As Sanabel” program on Christian TV SAT-7[2] , are expressing their wish to be saved and in turn receiving Bibles and Christian song tapes. Church leaders in Nicaragua beg for ministry to begin.

Nicaragua (MNN)–Nicaraguan pastors and church leaders say that there is a crying need for the evangelism, discipleship, church growth, and church planter training for national Christians that the Bible League[3] provides. The Bible League is responding to these pleas by opening ministry in Nicaragua in February. The Bible League is now seeking a Nicaraguan believer to lead this new ministry. An Indian Bible School gets ready for graduation.

India (MNN)–Next, 25 years after its inception, ‘Hope Givers International’s’ Bible school in northern India is ready to graduate one of its largest classes in February. Bible Pathway Ministries'[4] Karen Hawkins says their sister ministry is launching two-thousand new pastors into the field. (HAWKINS:17) “We are sending each one of these graduates a brand new “Best of Bible Pathway”, the King James Version that was just published recently, as one of their graduation gifts. It’s basically going to be their library, that, and a Bible, will be all that they go out with. That, and the clothes on their back–that’s pretty much it.” (BROOKS:02) Hawkins says there is another significant part of this project. (HAWKINS:19) “We originally were told that it was going to be there December 4, in Dehli. Teens are getting ready for the world largest missions conference

USA (MNN) — And finally, Urbana ’03, a ministry of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, is just under two months away and organizers say it’s filling up fast. Urbana ’03’s Director Jim Tebbe says more than 16-thousand young people have already signed up for the world’s largest missions conference and they only have room for four-thousand more. Tebbe says it’s kind of a surprise. “We’ve seen that other Christian conferences have been under subscribed to, almost everyone that we know during this year. And, it looks like this won’t be the case for Urbana. We think one of the major reasons is because people really are interested in what kinds of things they can do or be a part of, and that’s what Urbana focuses on.” Tebbe is asking people to pray in advance of the event. “Pray that the convention will fill and it will fill with the right students. Pray for the effectiveness of the convention. It really needs to be a work of God, that in our work we won’t be hindering that.”
