Good and evil

“Gladys Swager” wrote in message .

The fact is that, as the Bible says, no one is perfect. Years ago a Christian minister said you can be sinning even when doing good because you are doing it from the wrong motives.

The worst evils in the world are committed by evil people who _do not know_ they are doing evil (Hitler? Pol Pot? who else? )

Next are evil deeds committed by evil people who _do_ know they are doing evil (Saddam Hussein? who else? IOW I don’t think Saddam was as much as psychopath as Hitler)

But… wait for it… the most _widespread_ evils are the results of good/reasonable people making decisions which ensure that current evils remain, and billions of poor remain poor (e.g. manufacturers/politicians in Western countries, whose decisions are driven by a fast bucks mentality )

Shalom!
