Christians evangelize children in China, despite being illegal. China (MNN) — We begin today in China where trouble is facing many Christians who want to reach out to children in that country. Johnny Li is with Open Doors with Brother Andrew[1] . They have created a Children’s Bible that is effectively introducing Children to Christ. However, Li says China’s constitution makes this type of outreach difficult. “You can not preach, evangelize, baptize any one who is under 18 years old. They know that if children know the Lord, that’s dangerous (for China). So, our guys, they risk their lives.” Li says the need for Children’s Bibles is great. “It’s a beautiful Children’s Bible and (it has) basically 150 stories. Up to now, Open Doors brought over one-million (of these) Children’s Bibles to China. But, Open Doors still has a long way to go because we have roughly 500-million children who are under 18 years old.” Four dollars is all it costs to print and distribute these Bibles, which Li says are also being using by uneducated adults. Reconciliation comes to India India (MNN)–Next, the Baptist World Alliance[2] reports that they’re seeing resolution to a thirty year power struggle in India. However, this month, a meeting of the leaders indicated the area pastors wanted peace and reconciliation. The pastors were concerned about the church’s future and evangelism. Please pray for the Reconciliation Committee, and for the December 15 elections. Pray that the new assembly will help this process move forward for the future of evangelistic outreach in India. The struggle for freedom continues in Haiti. Haiti (MNN)–Haiti has marked the 200th anniversary of independence from France. However, events leading up to freedom from one kind of slavery led to enslavement in voodoo on the island nation. Men For Missions'[3] Warren Hardig explains “Operation Saturation” is countering that with the Gospel. So far, they’re met by a receptive people. “In the Saint Michel area, from the one radio, we’ve had 40 people accept Christ over the period of 90 days. That’s exciting. We’re thrilled with what the Lord is doing (and) we want people to pray for Haiti.” Hardig believes this is a critical time for blanketing the island nation in both prayer and with the hope of Christ. “The country is going through political turmoil. There’s a growing population that are uneasy, that are dissatisfied. I’m asking the Lord to help the Christians to be strong in the face of adversity, in the face of possible martyrdom.” Full Story: http://mnn.gospelcom.net/article/5376

Training Romanians to share Christ with others Romania (MNN) There are many Romanian’s who are hesitant to cross the mountian range to share the Gospel with their fellow countrymen. Patrick Klansek of Evangelical Baptist Mission says they are seeking to develop church and spiritual leadership to help aid in the spreading of the Gospel. He says that coming alongside existing churches and pastors to provide training as well as to get actually involved in communities and areas where there is no Gospel outreach. It’s coming alongside Romania, developing them, equipping them to build the church of Jesus Christ in Romania. Klansek says they are praying that Romanians will get a vision of what it means to evangelize and reach out to those communities where no church work is taking place. He says the real change is to find ways to motivate Romanians who are willing to and able to go into other parts of the country. So team building and discipling some who are already pastors but bringing them to a place of feeling like they can go into other parts of the country even though it’s hard. Healthy meals for Colombian students pave the way to outreach. Colombia (MNN)–And, the Lucero Alto School is a private Christian school for the poor run by Operation Blessing[4] partner CDA Colombia. There is a serious need for solid education in Colombia, but hunger can be an equally serious distraction. The Nutrition Project now feeds an average of 650 children. Children are now receiving a healthy breakfast and lunch every day. OBI exemplifies the love of Christ through every outreach, through food, medical and other programs.
