Kamikaze evangelists are seeing many turn to Christ in China. China (MNN) — We begin today in China where Christians are giving their all for Christ. That’s the word from Open Doors'[1] Johnny Li. Li says he’s amazed by the number young evangelists that are totally committed to sharing the Gospel. He says these young evangelists have a name. “They go to the borderline areas to preach the Gospel to minority remote areas and they pay a high, high price. What is the appropriate English word to describe this group of young of evangelists? Not in English, but in Japanese, Kamikaze evangelists. They dedicate their lives to the Gospel.” Li says many of these evangelists are under 20 years old. He says they do everything they can to fund their ministry. “I say, ‘where do you find money?’ They just say, ‘we sell our stuff.’ I laugh, ‘you don’t have anything to sell.’ Brother Wong answered me, ‘If we have no money, we sell our blood. Christians released from jail in Egypt Saudi Arabia (MNN — Meanwhile, two Egyptian Christians who were arrested in Saudi Arabia on October 25th were released recently. Middle East Concern says Sabry Awad Gayed (Sahbree ah-wahd GAY-ehd) and Eskander Guirguis Eskandar (ehsk-AHN-dahr goor-EE-joo-IHS ehsk-AHN-dahr) were accused of evangelizing non-Christians and of opening a new place of non-Muslim worship. Saudi Arabia has no public religious freedom except for Islam, but does allow the private practice of religion in homes. The intervention of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud brought about their release after no evidence substantiated the allegations. Full Story: http://mnn.gospelcom.net/article/5404

Believers get involved with a Tanzanian AIDS outreach. Tanazania (MNN)– World Vision[2] and the European Union are partnering to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS among the youth in Tanzania. An alarming trend indicates two thirds of new cases of HIV infections occurring among youths. World Vision’s program will target changing the behavior of youth, among other support projects. Thousands of young people gather at the Cotton Bowl. USA (MNN) — Next, prayer is need tomorrow as thousands will be gathering in the United States for a mission mobilizing event. Doctor David Shibley of Global Advance[3] says thousands of people will be at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. “There will be literally tens of thousands of young people as well as some parents that will be filling the Cotton Bowl for 12 hours at “The Call, Dallas.” And, the ultimate final call is to commission this new generation for missions and fulfilling the Great Commission.” Shibley will be part of the closing ceremonies of the event tomorrow. He’s has a special prayer for the event. “I am asking the Lord, and many others are as well, that a new student volunteer movement will erupt and that young people all over this country will get a vision for the Great Commission and commit themselves to seeing it fulfilled in their lifetime.” Full Story: http://mnn.gospelcom.net/article/5401

Gifts needed for missionaries and their families USA (MNN) — And finally, Christmas gifts are needed for missionaries and their children at D & D Missionary Homes[4] in Florida. D & D’s Phil Fogle explains the need. “We have more than 65 missionary kids on the campus. We want to make this a special time for them. We have a special Christmas party for all the kids. And, we will provide gifts for our kids.” Fogle says even more donated gifts are needed for children and adults for something they call, ‘gift selection day.’ “We put out a lot of new or like new gifts on table and the missionary kids can come in and ‘buy’ gift for their brothers and sisters and moms and dads. And then, the parents can come in and ‘buy’ gifts for their kids. And of course it’s all free.” This allows missionaries to spend money on ministry, rather than buying Christmas gifts.
