New Bible translations may pave the way for ministry in India. India (MNN)–Next, the World Bible Translation Center just released their Urdu and Gujarati Bibles. Both languages are considered primary, and the translation opens the door for ministry to the Hindi and Muslims. WBTC’s Dale Randolph explains that, in the context of existing anti-conversion laws, their work is within legal parameters. “Providing Bibles to people is no problem at all, as long as the people want the Bible. The thing that the law seems tot be designed for is the idea of people that are giving money to change religions, or things of that nature, which is not what real Christian people are doing.” Randolph asks people to pray for new outreach in both India and Pakistan. “Pray for God’s people to have wisdom, to have strength of faith and to keep pressing on. They make many of us over in this country ashamed in that there’s a real dedication amidst the persecution they’ve had, and yet, they’re growing, and may God bless that tremendously.” Full Story: http://mnn.gospelcom.net/article/5414

Advertisements are leading many to God’s word in the Muslim world. International (MNN) — Advertisements are being used by believers in 32 countries to interest people in the saving message of Jesus Christ. AMG International[3] ‘s Paul Jenks says his ministry has used it successfully especially in Muslim countries. He says the bad news is off-set with the Good News. “In countries like Bangladesh and Turkey and Indonesia and throughout the Middle East, even though the countries are predominately Muslim, Gospel ads telling about Jesus Christ is very well received and literally thousands of people will respond to the message.” Jenks says extra funding can go a long way to expand God’s Kingdom. “A $35 gift will reach about 100,000 potential readers, which is great value in missions today. Now, that doesn’t mean that every person that opens the newspaper reads the ad, but the potential is there.” Jenks says many are joining Bible correspondence classes in response to these ads. A mission agency makes pastor resources available in Zambia. Zambia (MNN)–Next, church leaders in North American churches are blessed with a wealth of resources. Not so for man Zambian pastors, many of whom have a single Bible for their ministry. SIM[5] is offering help through a matching funds project. They’re looking to send book sets to 7,000 Zambian pastors at 75-dollars apiece. A Christian school celebrates another graduation in Guatemala. Guatemala (MNN)–And, the Association of Christian Schools International[6] reports on a milestone celebrated in Guatemala. The Instituto Federico Crowe in Guatemala City just graduated 36 students. The success brings out another need for more space to grow. The team is praying for a new facility by July 2004. Through Christian education, ACSI’s vision is to see students understand a biblical worldview, and live the hope of the Gospel, evangelizing those in their community.
