Distribute nine drawings of the following creatures around your seats prior to the service and invite anyone who finds one in front of (or beneath) them to come out to the front and hold it up for everyone to see. To make it a bit easier for them to work out their order when they are at the front, the following numbers should be on the back

A sheep (2) a deer (9) a horse (3) a panda (6) a couple of goldfish (1)

A wildebeeste (8) a moose (5) a hippopotamus (7) two wading birds (4)

The first five animals should be sung by name three times, then the last four.

You may have already guessed the tune, for the words are quite familiar:

“Wee fish ewe a mare egrets moose (repeat twice) panda hippo gnu deer!”

And if you sense any connection with Noah, you could follow this up with ” ‘Ark the ‘erald angels sing.”
