That the day will come where every man, woman & child in our community will be fed.

Where they will grow up in a loving home instead of a refuge or a car or a park.

Where they will live free of abuse, whether that be physical, emotional, sexual, psychological or spiritual.

Where the only high they experience is not from the end of a needle but throughout their journey in life.

Where justice is not dependent on the quality of the legal counsel one can afford but equally dispensed to all in a compassionate but fair manner.

Where salvation is not simply seen as a “life insurance policy” or a notch on someone’s Bible, but as a world transforming experience that doesn’t start & finish at conversion of a person’s life but continues to evolve throughout the unique journey that God has for each of us.

Where God’s Kingdom manifests itself beyond the people in our community to the infrastructure of our community and the environment of our community.

Where God’s people work in cooperation not competition with other people in the community, regardless of their age or race or sex or Creed, to see God’s Kingdom realised.

Where our responsibility to God’s people moves beyond “grabbing, drowning, signing on the dotted line & letting them go to fend for themselves”, to finding someone or a number of people who will continue to stretch them in their individual journey for the rest of their life.

Where worshipping God is more than the choice of music or prayer or liturgy on a Sunday but is lived out through our daily interaction with our community.

Where the stewardship of God’s abundant resources to each of us will replace the concern about meeting budget with eagerly seeking God’s will as how best to use the increasing excess above budget.

Where the stewardship of our lives will result in ministry throughout every aspect of the community, irrespective of whether or not a title is afforded to the person undertaking that service.

Where it is evident in both our actions as well as our words that as God’s people we truly worship God and we truly love our neighbour.

So that when the head of every man, woman & child in our community hits the pillow on that night they will rest in the knowledge that this is not a dream but a reality.”
