One netfriend asked:
Could somebody tell me exactly what it is that makes the mason’s belief system satanic? I remember a long time ago reading a book by tex mars on the subject but can only remember that symbols played a big part in the mason’s society. And another question…would the organizations called “rainbow for girls” and the “eastern stars” be included and why?
* Others responded:
* Man, you’re asking for a lot of information. 🙂 That’s a book worth of info. 🙂 I studied the issue, but it would take a while to explain it all here in the newsgroup. I would suggest you pick up a book on the subject. You can start here, with what they say about themselves…

* Masonry isn’t a “belief system”, it’s a fraternal organisation. It requires belief in a Supreme Being for membership, so I suppose theoretically a Satanist could be a member, but since the practical emphasis is on charitable works and kindness to one’s fellow-humans, it seems unlikely.
* Here are a couple of links to information on John Ankerberg’s website that may help you: http://www.ankerberg.org/Articles/apologetics/AP0401W4.htm
