Across the Western world it is often stated that we all worship the same God. Is this true? Do the Muslims also believe this? The peaceful face of Islam in the West masks the reality of how women, Christian converts and others are brutalized in Islamic home territory.

In his 56 page booklet, “Islam Unveiled”, Abdullah Al Araby (pen name)

extensively quotes from the Muslim holy book, the Quran (Koran), to help us understand the foundation of violence, upon which Islam rests. However, we must remember that many individual Muslims do not endorse violence.

In the Koran in the book of Surah chapter 2:191, God orders Muhammed to kill his opponents, “Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from wherever they drove you out…”

“Fight those who do not believe in God and the last day….and fight people of the Book, (Christians and Jews) who do not accept the religion of truth (Islam) until they pay tribute (tax) by hand, being inferior (Surah 9:29)

“The Jews call Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah..Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the truth!” (Surah 9:30)

In resorting to violence, Muslims are easily finding passages in the Koran and Hadith (Muslim commentaries) that not only condone violence, but also demand it.

“I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them . It is not ye who slew them; it was God” (Surah 8:13-17)

“Fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war..” (Surah 9:5)

“Those (Christians and Jews) who incurred the curse of Allah and His wrath, those whom some He transformed into apes and swine…” (Surah 5:63)

“The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of the hands and feet from the opposite sides or exile from the land…” (Surah 5:36)

“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost” (Surah 3:85)

The Islamic concept of heaven is that of unlimited sex with beautiful women, with no mention of fellowship with their remote, vengeful Allah.

“They will recline on thrones arranged in ranks; and we shall join them to companions with beautiful, big and lustrous eyes” (Surah 52:19,20). See also Surah 4:57, 76:12-22, 55:54-56, 47:15.

Araby’s last sections deal with a contrast between Jesus and Muhammed.

JESUS: “If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:1,2)

MUHAMMED: “Whether thou ask for their forgiveness or not, if you ask seventy times for their forgiveness, God will not forgive them.” (Surah 9:80)

We must understand that the god of the Muslims is not the God of the Christians. We must love Muslims. Many Muslims in nations where we work are seeking the atonement found in Christ. Our message to all Muslims, moderate or extremist is: “Don’t bleed. Don’t cause others to bleed. Jesus bled for you. Christians teach that we should lay down our life for our brother, as Jesus did, not to kill our brother. We open our door to you to consider Jesus and to replace hatred and violence with love and forgiveness.”
