netfriend:
It…..the bible contains false information? I did not say it is false information.
I said it contains errors, man-made errors, <>
My response:
It does.
Hundreds of ’em.
If one wants to ignore the obvious, ostrich-like, that’s not quite honest eh?
For example: compare 2 Samuel 8:4 with 1 Chronicles 18:4 – 1700 or 7000?
Or 2 Kings 24:8 and 2 Chronicles 36:9 – 18 or 8?
Or 1 Kings 4:26 and 2 Chronicles 9:25 – 40,000 or 4,000?
The list goes on and on.
Question is: what’ll we do with this information? Suggestion: agree with Jesus’ view of Scripture (against the liberals: it’s authoritative for faith and conduct) but not the fundamentalists (the Bible does not posit a notion of inerrancy about itself. That’s a modern notion).
