Fundamentalism

I read this somewhere:

~~~
Fundamentalism – especially Christian Fundamentalism is a strict adherance to Conservative Protestant dogma at the expense of true faith.
Fundamentalists do not believe in God – they believe in believing in God. They cannot tolerate any questioning of their dogma for fear that the whole edifice collapse under the light of critical study.
I mean, ask a Fundamentalist where Jesus went when he ascended “bodily” into “heaven”. If he went outwards from the surface of the Earth at the speed of light, then he *still* has not left our Galaxy.
So if the world is round, where then is Heaven?
Something as basic as the simple FACT that Earth is a sphere revolving around a star called Sol and Fundamentalist dogma falls flat on its face.
