Whenever the word ‘social’ crops us, the speaker is most likely a socalist or want to be communist. Christianity seeks justice, socalists seek social justice, which is a code word for socalism.

I think in the context of the acronym’s aetiology ‘social’ means anything not condoned by the religious authorities – particularly Puritanical authorities – like enjoying yourself dancing, or whatever you enjoy doing on Sundays, plus of course sexual fun outside of heterosexxual marriage, drinking, smoking, gambling etc. Macro-ethical issues like race, poverty, hunger and war were not apparently important enough for wowsers to condemn…
