“Who ate Roger Williams?” (More..) Roger Williams, as only those outside the U.S. won’t know, was the founder of the colony of Rhode Island. And all Baptists *think* he was one of theirs, because he was passionate about Religious Liberty (see http://www.constitution.org/bcp/religlib.htm ). Well, he was a Baptist for a while… Anyway… When the remains of Roger Williams were exhumed it was discovered that a large root of an apple tree had entered his grave. The root can be seen today at Brown University. Presumably everybody who ate apples from that tree consumed particles from Roger Williams’ body – which in turn became part of their bodies. So to our deep question: At the resurrection, to whose body will those particles belong?
Netfriend:
LOL
Now if the earth with its 6 billions people is already _overpopulated_ now wouldn’t this be more so at the resurrection when all people come back including all those who died as children…
And Rod Benson:
To follow on from that fruitful comment about poor rotten Roger, I recall that, in A Short History of Nearly Everything, Bill Bryson observed that everyone living today probably has atoms in their body that were once in William Shakespeare.
Now if Shakespeare possessed atoms that had been in – say – Augustine, and Augustine possessed atoms that were in Jesus…
The divine spark within rejoices.
