Prayer and a gift

Lord God I lift J____, a little girl of ten with leukemia and I lift R____ a boy of 9 months suspected of cancer, Father I pray that these children of yours will shine with your glory, these children’s days are ordained by you Lord and I pray in the Name of Jesus for healing that this will Glorify God, these children will rise to be strong ministers of Gods word and testimonies to his power.

J____ and R____ lifted in prayer. I have some questions to ask you, though. You don’t have to answer them on the ‘net.

Do you live near J____? Does she have the kind of leukemia which needs regular donations of platelets? If she does live near you, and does have a need for platelets are you able to be a platelet donor? Are you a platelet donor? Would you be a platelet donor if there were another child like J____ in your area?

Not all people can be blood or platelet donors, but it is something I think about everytime I’m asked to pray for someone with a similar condition. I’ve made a note on my cell phone to remind me during my next donation that I am giving platelets for J____ even though I live on a different continent in a different hemisphere. It’s an act of prayer for me.

It seems to me that there are many good Christians who are living lives which make them very low-risk lifestyle donors and I encourage them to be the ones to make the necessary effort to ensure a safe supply of blood (for operations) and platelets (for leukemia sufferers) and plasma (for people who are badly burned).
