Yeah! I’ve noticed that on TV a LOT in the past 10 years. I can’t think of one single program — sitcom or otherwise – that showed the male in a positive light unless he was wearing black with a white band around his neck.

“Everybody Loves Raymond” is about a guy who “never gets any” from his emasculating wife, and who even catches hell from his mother. King of Queens, the same. Another husband who never gets any. Name the sitcom– the guy is a bumbling buffoon who shines with pride the twice a year his wife condescends to giving him his marital privilege.

Home Improvement was one of the worst, and due to too many men being too stupid to know they were being mercilessly put down (shades of ‘All in the Family”), Tim Allen’s show was one of the highest rated on the air.
