Apologetics

The Middle East

(From an on-line Jewish friend):

Hamas: “It is an obligation to kill all Jews”

http://www.fas.org/irp/congress/1993_cr/h930302-terror.htm

Hezhbollah: “If Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.”

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/alan-dershowitz/hezbollahs-goal-going-_b_26983.html

Palestine? That was the name of a British Mandated area from 1920-1948. Before that it was the name of an area controlled by the Ottoman Turks. It has never been the name of an autonomous country. In fact, it has never been an autonomous country since the Jews lived there under Herod.

So, summing up:

Q: Has Palestine EVER been the name of an Arab/Moslem country? A: NEVER!!

Palestine was established after the Balfour Declaration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balfour_Declaration,_1917)

Where Britain said it would support the establishment of a “Jewish “national home” in Palestine”. In other words, Palestine was always intended to be a Jewish Homeland right from the start.

Anyway, Palestinians are treated as “second class citizens” in every country in the area; Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. They do not vote and they can’t buy land.

But guess where they can buy land, and vote? Israel. Can Jews buy land in Gaza? No. Actually, a lot of land that the Jews owned before 1948 was taken over by Jordan.
