From a pastor-friend:
Hi Everyone,
My current Church is ministering to a Christian man (late 20s) who is suffering from schizophrenia. He is currently stabilised but is struggling to accept the fact that his past life has been forgiven by the Lord and that he now has new life. Any helpful books, articles, or advice would be greatly appreciated in order that we might effectively minister to him in a positive way.

Healthy and accepting relationships of course are the primary ‘salugenic’ (now there’s a word – Howard Clinebell’s I think) context, but in terms of reading material outside the NT and some of the Psalms the best book (!) in print, from a Christian angle I reckon is John Claypool’s ‘The Hopeful Heart’. If you can’t get one quickly, I have a few spares which I use regularly in these sorts of situations. Very readable…
