The Creator of the web site says this about it:
“Our vision is that Megachurch Watch is a one-stop-shop of news and information about megachurches in Australia. Each month we bring together information from a range of media sources – newspaper, TV, radio and internet – so that you can be up to date on the megachurches with minimal effort. For those comfortable with online news sources, the website has an RSS feed so that Megachurch Watch can be one of your regular news sources.
Megachurch Watch is also an interactive blog website. At the end of each news item is space to leave a comment. Our hope is that over time these comments will build into a vital online forum where many fruitful discussions happen. So if you are able, please add your comments, especially early on, so that we can build up a critical mass of online conversation.
The Victorian Council of Christian Education (VCCE) is planning to have a formal launch of Megachurch Watch sometime in March next year. By then we hope to have built a broad ‘living online tradition’ – of Christians and non-Christians, students, pastors, megachurch members, political commentators, and people who are simply interested in the future of the church in Australia. As an organisation committed to ‘Christian’ education, the VCCE is keen to foster a broad, thoughtful, prophetic, constructive and inclusive conversation.
So please read and contribute to Megachurch Watch, and recommend it to other people and networks who may be interested. If you have any comments about the website – on how it is and how to make it better – then please email me with your suggestions (davidcollis[at]vcce.org.au).
Thanks in advance,”
