I’ve recently been reading a few things about the nature of truth.

One writer suggests that people can, with some exceptions, be divided into three classes.

1. Those who try to tell the truth, and admit their errors when these are pointed out to them.

2. Liars, who know the truth, but don’t like it and try to persuade others that their lies are the truth.

3. Bullshitters, who don’t care about the truth, but just want to put forward their favourite mantra, repeated ad nauseum.
