Pharisees are proud of their discipline over ‘sins of the flesh’, and evangelical orthodoxy, and religious rituals. But these static habits are not the essence of Christianity – which is progress/growth in faith, hope and love. And which is why sexual sinners could be entering the kingdom ahead of them (Pharisees can’t cope with that idea)! (Mt. 21:31)
