MYSTERY: Here’s one approach

(From a facebook friend):

“When God ceases to exist or present any shred of rational basis to satisfy my leap of faith, and I have come to this place, this is where silence is the most dreadful yet wonderful gift. Falling into God is falling into nothing, quite literally, and that nothing is proving to be the everything my heart could ever desire. Toss aside logic, embrace the absurd, Keirkegaard was right: to be asked to kill your own son is the most horrible thing anyone could ask of anyone else. Unless and until you have found your ego fully dissolved into Love. My breath alone tells me more than my mind ever will. Be still and know.”

****

And two prayers for Today:

Prayer for Today

As you cause the sun to rise, O God,
bring the light of Christ to dawn in our souls
and dispel all darkness.

Give us grace to reflect Christ’s glory;
and let his love show in our deeds,
his peace shine in our words,
and his healing in our touch,

that all may give him praise, now and forever. Amen.

****

Eternal God,
our beginning and our end,
be our starting-point and our haven,
and accompany us on this day’s journey.

Use our hands
to do the work of your creation,
and use our lives
to bring others new life

In Jesus Christ, Redeemer of all

Amen
