Is there a God?

The other day someone asked me what the difference was between an atheist, an agnostic and one who believes in God. I answered as best as I could, but knew there was more to say about it than a few simple lines.

I went to bed pondering the question and fell asleep.

Then She spoke to me in a dream, and corrected my analysis:

An Atheist lives under the delusion there is no God.

An Agnostic wonders if there is a God.

A Religious person lives under the delusion there is a God.

A Buddhist needs no delusion – as all Life is an illusion – only Self and Nirvana matter.

I woke up in a daze and when I recovered I prayed aloud:

“Thank you, God, for your insights last night.”

Just then I heard a voice say:

“I beg your pardon?”

  1. I love it.
Is there ‘a’ God? The little ‘a’ is used by people to save face from embarrassment for having asked the question.

Surely by definition, God IS. Then, subject to God’s BEING, everything (else) EXISTS.
    No room for ‘a’ God.
