Steve Jobs’ Stanford Commencement Address

Notes I took while listening…

Steve Jobs: I got sacked from my own company, Apple: but then started up a couple of excellent businesses… You can ¢â‚¬â„¢t connect   the dots looking forwards, but only backwards.

If you live each day as if it was your last, some day you ¢â‚¬â„¢ll be right.  ¢â‚¬ËœIf this was the last day of my life would I be doing what I ¢â‚¬â„¢m doing today? ¢â‚¬â„¢ Remember you will die.

Do what you love: as with all matters of the heart you ¢â‚¬â„¢ll find it. Keep looking; don ¢â‚¬â„¢t settle.

Cancer (pancreatic): the doctor suggested I straighten things out with my family…  Even if people want to get to heaven, they don ¢â‚¬â„¢t want to die to get there…

Your time is limited… Don ¢â‚¬â„¢t be trapped in dogma (someone else ¢â‚¬â„¢s thinking).

On the back of the Whole Earth Catalogue (when I was your age):  ¢â‚¬ËœStay hungry, stay foolish! ¢â‚¬â„¢

Thank you!
