EGYPT MORE RADICALISED THAN FIRST THOUGHT

Islam is a materialistic, imperialistic and political religion. Its aim is to achieve dominance — demographically or through military or political conquest — so that Muslims might rule and Sharia Law / the law of Allah, might be applied. Where Islam is dominant, atheists and polytheists have two choices: convert to Islam or die. Jews and Christians, however, have a third choice: dhimmitude — i.e. they may pay a “jizya” tax for their “protection”(i.e. right to life) and by submitting to Islamic rule and Sharia law in total subjugation and abject humiliation (Sura 9:29). The subjugated peoples are known collectively as the dhimma (singular: dhimmi).

The state of subjugation — a state of immense insecurity, vulnerability, perpetual anxiety and psychological trauma — is known as dhimmitude. The rules under which the dhimma must live are codified in the dhimma pact. If at any time, the dhimma violate the dhimma pact, then “protection” is withdrawn and the dhimmis may be killed and their properties plundered. Europe’s rise and Islam’s decline — commencing in the late 17th Century and culminating in defeat for Islam in the 20th Century’s two world wars — saw dhimmitude wane. Today, however, Islam is back and so too is dhimmitude. And nowhere is this more evident than in Egypt.

This is unsurprising considering the results of a recent survey by Al-Ahram Centre for Political and Strategic Studies. For according to the study, while 61% of those living in cities support a civil state, 48.5% of rural residents support an Islamic state. When asked what state they wished to see Egypt resemble, 48.9% of rural Egyptians and 31.5% of urban residents named Saudi Arabia. Turkey was a distant second with 11.9% of urban residents looking to it as a model, and only 6.5% of rural residents. Further to this, some 40.1% of Egyptians classified themselves as Islamists. As one observer remarked: “I think Egypt has become more Islamised than we thought.”

The Hajj is one of the five pillars of the Islamic religion. The Hajj is also the pinnacle of the life of a Muslim. “They are commanded to make Hajj at least once in their life if they are able.” The dates for the Hajj change each year, according to the cycles of the moon. It is held the 8th day of the 12th month in the Islamic Calendar. In 2011, it will start on November 4 and last for 3-4 days. During the Hajj, Muslims from around the world come to Mecca to perform religious acts and be cleansed of their sins. They follow what they believe to be the movements of Mohammad.

MUSLIMS FLOCK TO MECCA FOR THE ANNUAL HAJJ PILGRIMAGE
On the first day, Muslims enter the city and pray at the Grand Mosque, and then spend the night in the tent city of Mina. On the second day, they proceed to the Plain of Arafat. “It is believed that Muhammad delivered his final sermon from a hill above this plain during his last pilgrimage,”explains PTAP. On day three, pilgrims approach three pillars that represent Satan. They throw stones to defeat him, then sacrifice a sheep, goat or camel. On day four, they go to the Grand Mosque and walk around the Ka’aba seven times. The Hajj takes place in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam.

Please pray:

* for the blinded minds of Muslims who go to Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj to be opened. Pray for them to see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Jesus Christ. Pray that Christians along travel routes and in Saudi Arabia would have the opportunity to share the Gospel with those going on Hajj.
* for Muslims participating in the Hajj to see the futility of these religious acts and to seek the true and living God and for the Lord to reveal Himself to pilgrims in visions, dreams, signs, wonders, and miracles.

* for Muslims to realize they can have relationship with God anywhere on earth – not just Mecca – through the life, death, and resurrection of JesusChrist. Pray too for a great harvest of souls from among the pilgrims who go on Hajj this year. Pray for multitudes of Muslims to put their faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

OVER 2,000 CHAPLAINS PROTEST HOMOSEXUAL REGULATIONS

A national group representing more than 2,000 military chaplains from evangelical Christian and Orthodox backgrounds have joined Catholic clerics to say that the Pentagon has launched a direct assault on marriage, and the chaplains they endorse will not be allowed to perform same-sex wedding ceremonies under any circumstances. Dr. Ron Crews, executive director of  the Chaplain Alliance for Liberty, said his 2000-plus membership is concerned about a Sept. 30 Pentagon memorandum that authorizes chaplains and military chapel facilities to be used for “any private ceremony,” a move that contradicts current federal law, the Defence of Marriage Act (DOMA).

“By dishonestly sanctioning the use of federal facilities for ‘marriage counterfeits’ that federal law and the vast majority of Americans have rejected, the Pentagon has launched a direct assault on the fundamental unit of society – husband and wife,” Dr. Ron Crews said.   Homosexual marriages are an abomination to God and cannot be performed by true and faithful Christian ministers of the Gospel. There is no way of compromising God’s Word and law on this matter. The Pentagon’s upper leadership must examine and reconsider this spiritual impasse and change its laws to comply with federal laws and more importantly God’s eternal law.

Please pray:

*  asking the Lord to strengthen these Chaplains to enable them to withstand the abuse, threats, possible job loss and/or punishment most likely to arise from their stand against this decision.

* that this decision by the Pentagon, designed to force Chaplains to accept homosexual marriage as “normal”, will be reversed as a result of the stand of the military Chaplains not to walk contrary to God’s law.

* that Church leaders and other Christians will not allow these Chaplains to fight this battle on their own but would also express their concerns and indignation to the Pentagon in support of the Chaplains

AMAZING CHURCH GROWTH IN SOUTH KOREA

The church began in 1982 with 13 members and since then has experienced amazing growth. Manmin-it means “all people”- Central Church in Seoul, has grown to 100,000 members and has over 9,000 branch churches around the world. Recently, members celebrated the 29th anniversary of the church which was broadcast live around the world on television by the Global Christian Network to 170 countries and also via the Internet to untold millions more. Not without its critics, this church has pressed on with a missionary fervour that reaches around the world, even to its reclusive neighbour, North Korea.

Dr Lee, the senior pastor of the church, said that the church now has some 700 North Korean members who have escaped to the south. “We have those at our church who are preparing to take the Gospel into North Korea which I believe will soon open up, but possibly just for a short time,” he said.”These people realize that the door may not be open for long and they are willing to become martyrs for Jesus Christ.” South Korean Christians are amongst the most fervent evangelists and missionaries which accounts for the amazing growth being experienced by this and other churches in South Korea.

GOD HEALS MUTE WHO BECOMES A CHILD EVANGELIST

A 12 year old evangelist who was mute until he was three, and then suffered from severe stammering until age seven is being used by God in amazing ways in India and beyond. Jojimon, was born to orthodox Jacobite parents. When he was seven, a pastor from Punalurin Kerala state had a vision about him, and later the pastor asked his parents to bring their son to his house. There the pastor prayed for Jojimon, and he was healed. Following the healing God has given him opportunities to work in several places in India and abroad. He has ministered in almost 1,600 meetings in India and abroad. Some of his meetings have been attended by up to 35,000 people.

Jojimon’s minister said, “Jojimon is an anointed, gifted young boy who is very dynamic. He can speak the Word of God for three hours. He is a blessed child of God, and has a great future. No one can question the way God uses children.” Pastor K.C John, the Kerala State Overseer of Church of God in India, said, “At a very young age, God has poured His amazing grace upon this boy. He can speak the Word of God clearly and fluently without any hindrance. He has a good future in the ministry. He is unique.” Asked by A NS about how God can use such a young person so greatly, John said, “For God everything is possible, and we are no one to question God about His miracle.”

NOT A SINGLE PUBLIC CHURCH LEFT IN AFGHANISTAN

There is not a single, public Christian church left in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. State Department. The last public Christian church in Afghanistan was razed in March 2010, according to the latest International Religious Freedom Report. The report, which was released last month, states that “there were no Christian schools in the country. There is no longer a public Christian church. The courts failed to upheld the last church’s claim to its 99-year lease, and the landowner destroyed the building in March [2010].” “Private chapels and churches for the international community of various faiths are located on several military bases, and at the Italian embassy.

Please pray:

* expressing your grief before the Lord for this situation.

* asking God to move on the hearts of His people, calling some to re-enter this field, which is ripe for harvest.

* that the day will soon come when the tide will turn against the enemy and that souls will again be able to be liberated in Afghanistan. Decree an end to the rule of Sharia Law, and the oppression of the cult of Islam over the Afghanistan citizens.

EGYPT AMENDS CRIMINAL CODE BANNING RELIGIOUS DISCRIMINATION

Egypt has banned all forms of discrimination, including religious in an attempt to deflect criticism of its military rulers after recent clashes between soldiers and Christians killed 26 people in the country’s worst violence in months. An amendment to the criminal code imposes a fine of at least U.S. $5,000 for discrimination based on “gender, origin, language, religion or beliefs,” according to an announcement from the Supreme Council of Armed Forces. The Egyptian interim cabinet has also agreed to discuss the issue of building permits for Christian churches. The new ban is largely seen as a limited but positive symbolic step that will be difficult to put into practice, let alone enforce.
