Christmas: It’s Your Turn

THIS WAS AN ENCOURAGEMENT TO ME SO I PASS IT ON.

IT’S YOUR TURN

“Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. And they came with haste.” Luke 2:15, 16

The time has come-the moment we’ve been anticipating for weeks is here! Just like those shepherds in Luke 2:8, you’ve been faithfully tending the flock this Christmas season with your songs of praise, thanksgiving, and celebration. All those hours `out in the fields, keeping watch over your flock,’ are culminating in this great moment. Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Savior, is alive.

For the last few weeks, every verse, every chorus, every note has been sung and played in commemoration of this moment. All our hopes, all our dreams, every part of our future is wrapped up in the birth, life, death, and resurrection of this Anointed One. And He is here!

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Luke 2:14

The very thing that you have spent countless hours proclaiming through every song you’ve sung and every service you have led, has come to pass. Jesus is alive!

“.Let us now go to Bethlehem and SEE…” Luke 2:15

Go right now! You need to SEE HIM for who He is this week: Wonderful, Counselor, Prince of Peace, Almighty God. And just like those shepherds, you will be energized to make Him widely known. (Luke 2:17).

“Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.” Luke 2:20

That’s exactly what you will do in the days, weeks, and months ahead. You will return to your flock and make Him widely known. You will glorify and praise God for all you have seen and heard. You will fulfill your purpose as His musician.

But for now, as you join your family, friends, and co-workers around the table or beside the Christmas tree, He wants you to simply enjoy His deep love for you. The King of Glory, the Living Word, Jesus really did come to earth to reveal His never-ending love for you-a love that never fails.

Come to the manger, and allow Him to wrap you in His love. Enjoy His presence this week, dear friend. It’s your turn.

We desire to reach and encourage musicians, pastors, and worship leaders just like you! If this message has encouraged you, please forward it to your friends and invite them to join our list or send them to http://www.singright.com.
