These two boys were walking along one day when they came up to a well. They were
looking down the well when one said to the other "how deep do you think it is ".

The other guy says " I don’t know lets throw this rock down there and listen for
the splash"

They threw the rock down the well then sat there quietly listening for the splash, but
it never came. So they found a larger rock and threw it in, still no sound.

They noticed a large railroad tie over by the bushes, so big it took the two of them to
pick it up. They threw it in, then waited for the splash, when suddenly out of the bushes
came a goat running full speed at the boys, they dove out of the way just in time to see
the goat jump into the well headfirst.

They sat there totally amazed at what they just seen, when a farmer came out of the
bushes and said "did you boys see a goat around here somewhere?"

They replied "yeah, it was the strangest thing, he came running full speed at us
then he dove headfirst down the well."

The farmer replied "nope, that couldn’t have been my goat, my goat is tied to a
railroad tie"
