all too often everywhere …..

Twelve Steps for Being a “Good Christian”?

OR How to be Religious!

1. Hate yourself because you are hurting and empty inside.

2. Go to church looking for approval and love.

3. Deny all your pain and feelings, and pretend to be happy.

4. Blindly follow some minister or leader around, so you won’t have

to think.

5. Hide any problems or imperfections you may have.

6. Look for other people with obvious, unhidden problems or

imperfections.

7. Pounce on them, condemning, judging, hating and fixing…all in the

name of God.

8. Move up the ranks and promote the above.

9. Convert the unconverted to this.

10. Live a double life with some hidden secret sin.

11. Isn’t this the abundant life?
