Dear Mr. Croucher:
While I believe that you have sincere and honorable motives in your posting, I
must ask you a question. Do you support your local Boy Scout post? Do you
believe that the Boy Scouts are evil?
The reason I ask is that most Boy Scout posts end their meetings in a word of
prayer to"The Great Scoutmaster of All Great Scouts" that is not invoked in
Jesus' name. Also, they have religious medals that are earned for performing
service to one's Church. They include Morman medals, Jewish medals, and
several other non-Christian or false Christain churches. By giving these
medals couldn't one say that the organizations is supporting these Churches?
Also, there is an an appendant group with the BSA called the Order of the Arrow
(OA) which Scouts are elected by their fellow Scouts to and consists of 24
hours without eating (or very little eating), 24 hours of hard labor, and
staying alone for 24 hours. The members of the OA are SWORN to secrecy.
Sounds very much like a lodge to me.
I am not saying this to sway your opinion of Freemasonry but if you are going
to critize one group for being evil you ought to condemn them all. Not doing
so hypocrisy.
