It was the end of a tedious & difficult morning with the kindy class. Teacher was helping Bobby put his boot on with much difficulty. No matter how hard she pulled and he pushed – they just were such a tight fit. But eventually they were on and she was glad ‘Teacha… the boots are on the wrong feet! She looked down at the little feet and sure enough they were on the wrong feet! Couldnt he have told me earlier!! It was as hard getting them off as it was on but eventually they came off But getting them on the right feet was no easier than before and with the same amount of effort and time they eventually were on his feet. ‘These arent my boots’ said Bobby seriously. Teacher took a deep breath! Why didnt he tell me this before all this mucking around. Again the tedious task of getting them, off his feet was accomplished and as she was about to look around for his boots Bobby said ‘ these are me bruvers. Mum said I had to wear them today!! She was sure that a scream had started in her throat but she managed to stop it before it was voiced. Bobby was a quiet serious kid and never said much, it was true but surely he could have told her all of this before…! She eventually and with the same amount of effort got his boots back on again! ‘Now where are your mittens? she asked. ‘Its very cold outside and you will need them to keep your hands warm! ‘ I stuffed them in the toes of me boots’ said Bobby!
