Sorry, but this is ‘way off. about 20 years ago I heard the statistic that approximately 175,000 people were in flight over the US at any time, on average, and the airlines have expanded greatly since then. And I would guess the 61,000 figure would apply to those flying in ‘general aviation’ (small private and corporate planes), not airline passengers.
