Edam Protestants plan to repair their church with cheese

Amsterdam (ENI). The Dutch town of Edam, famed worldwide for its cheese, is to have a new tourist attraction this summer – a church made entirely of the dairy product. Some 10 000 of the ball-shaped cheeses for which Edam is renowned, are to be used to build a scaled-down replica of the town’s St Nicholas Church, known locally as the Great Church.
