One resource that could be very useful to readers
trying to merge traditional and contemporary worship is a Vineyard
resource called Contemporary Hymns and Classic Choruses. Music
includes vocal melody line, piano arrangement and guitar chords.
The arrangements are contemporary rather than 1970’s folk style
and done by some of the best contemporary arrangers around.
