Here’s something I heard on a/an R. T. Kendall tape while driving to
Sale last week. Whitefield – a ‘great’ British preacher (contemporary of
Wesley’s, but not as ‘methodical’) was preaching about the second
coming, a la ‘I think I can hear the trumpet… I can hear the
trumpet… Quick repent, the trumpet’s about the blow…’ etc. etc.
upon which the guy Whitefield had planted behind a tree with a trumpet
began blowing it. Many repented in the next few seconds 🙂

I’m preaching through Revelation in a Wesleyan Methodist church in
Melbourne during these months, and they loved that one…
