A Church Family Prayer

Lord God, as we Target the Ten Thousand local people who have no church home, we invite you to live in us and reach out through us. As a church family we offer all that we are and all that we have to you:

Our hearts – overflow them with your limitless love.

Our faces – radiate your joy through them.

Our ears – alert them to the cries of hurting people.

Our eyes – fill them with your values and your choice of how to fulfil the dreams you share with us.

Our minds – fill them with confidence and discipline to keep acting on the beautiful truth that nothing is impossible with you.

Our tongues – speak through them, to encourage, to counsel and to affirm rather than to gossip or to criticise.

Our hands – reach out through them to stroke, uphold, lift, to bring your healing touch and to steady those needing your support.

Our feet, Lord – walk in them where you want us to go, so that those who follow us may be drawn to Jesus Christ,

For we commend ourselves and each other into your grace,

For Jesus’ sake,
