GG and OJ were Christians
they thought they new it all
and when they came to a.r.c
they thought they'd have a ball

"with Greek declensions numerous
and cries of 'no, it's not'
we'll show you poor deluded fools
what's what, and what is not"

but lo, the silly readers
just didn't want to know,
and when they questioned, asked, enquired,
our heroes just said "NO!"

"you lot are all un-christian,
you haven't got a clue
you speak in tongues, that's naughty,
deny the Bible's true.

"don't ask us any questions
you can't teach us a thing
don't speak in tongues, don't pray for me
you stupid ding-a-ling

"I'll punch your lights out", GG cried
"I'll rob your house", said OJ
and then you'll see whose Christian here
we're sure to win. Hooray!

The athiests who bothered
to read their fire and smoke
retired assured in their sweet faith
that God was just a joke

The Christians, be they liberals,
tongue speakers, or both.
Just tried to grin and bear it, 
and not give way to wroth.

And God, the saints and angels,
in hyper- cyber space
did not know if, to laugh or cry
would be the better grace.

But life goes on, another day
in usenet's wide expanse
and God is known in all the world
despite our raves and rants.

for faith and hope and love abide,
and by them, God is known
and none of us can claim the truth
is just our very own.

We're different, us Christians
who call ourselves that name,
give thanks to God, and glory be
we are not all the same.
