I wonder if you can find any scriptural support for this statement.

Luther added the word "alone" to Romans 5:1 in his German Bible, but
he was writing in opposition to a Catholic Chuch which, from his
perspective, taught salvation/justification by works alone. I suspect
that Paul, James, Jesus, and even Luther when he calmed down would
agree that faith and works are as important as each other. Neither
"alone" is sufficient. 

Faith "alone" is dead. Works "alone" are pointless.

If you can find any other view which does not contradict the teaching
of Jesus in the parable of the sheep and goats and the sermon on the
mount, I would be happy to see it.
