Fundamentalist Literalism

How are my jibes at illogical irrational rabid fundamentalism “blasphemy”?

Pentecostals and fundamentalists like you pick and choose which of the bible verses they will or will not act on despite telling everyone else that ALL of the bible must be obeyed! That is HYPOCRISY!

Have you sinned by wearing clothes made of two types of material (Leviticus 19:19; Deuteronomy 22:11)?

Have you sinned by cutting your hair (Leviticus 19:27)?

Tithes are meant to be eaten (Deuteronomy 14: 22 – 29; Deuteronomy 26: 12; Malachi 3:10 is about food not money!) When was the last time you ate your tithes?

Jesus said in Matthew 5:42, “Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.” I ask for your house and car and to borrow your most prized possession. Will you follow Jesus’ command or not?

Now pucker up ……… Greet me with a KISS just like bible says in Romans 6:16; 1Corinthians 16:20; 2 Corinthians13:12; I Thessalonians 5:26; 1 Peter 5:14. You do greet ALL Christians with a kiss don’t you?

Jesus’ date of death is difficult to ascertain but is in the range of 27 – 34 CE. Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians & Galatians are the first written references to Jesus dated 48 or 49 CE. The last of Paul’s writings, perhaps Colossians, is dated about 62 CE. When Paul died not a single gospel had been written and none of Paul’s letters were considered scripture. Paul knows nothing about a virgin birth nor a Damascus road experience and describes the resurrection passively as “was raised”. Paul was converted to Christianity no earlier than one year and no later than 6 years after Jesus’ death.

The Gospels are further away from the time of the historical Jesus. Mark’s gospel was written no earlier than 65 CE and no later than 75 CE. Matthew probably wrote his gospel in Antioch and is dated circa 85 CE. The Gospel of Luke and Acts (one two volumed book!) seems to have been written in Caesaraa between 83 CE and 90 CE. John’s gospel appears to have been written around 100 CE.

Where does the II Tim 3:16 proof text about “all scripture being inspired” fit into this timeline???

If God kept all the bible free from error, what is the one and only truly inspired ending to Mark’s Gospel? There are several versions!

The fundamentalist / pente claim that the bible is infallible or inerrant is religious imperialism and religious bigotry. It is a control mechanism used by fear mongering fundamentalists and pentes who do not acknowledge any other type of Christian.

There is freedom in Christ! (Galatians 5:1) The Good News (Gospel) is that God has set you free! God’s grace and love are free and without any requirement whatsoever!

Fundamentalism and pentecostalism are bondage and slavery to rules and regulations and man made doctrines.

Isaiah 29:13 “These people claim to worship me, but their words are meaningless, and their hearts somewhere else. Their religion is nothing but human rules and traditions, which they have simply memorised.”

Matthew 23:15 “How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You sail the seas and cross whole countries to win one convert; and when you succeed you make him twice as fit for hell as you yourselves are!”
