Those who are members of other lists will be familiar with the behaviour of the “troll”. Standard advice is to refuse to respond, since that’s how they get their kicks. I would be interested though in a deeper analysis of the troll – perhaps psychoanalysis. What’s motivating such people? What is the typical profile? Do you have any in your congregation? Is there an alternative to simply ignoring them?
